Uber

Angela Johnson is Litigation Counsel at Uber in San Francisco. She has litigated and managed cases in state and federal courts throughout the United States. Her broad experiences with commercial, IP, employment and class action litigation enables her to provide practical, creative solutions that mitigate legal risks while meeting business objectives. When she is not focused on litigation, she is passionate about finding ways to help and empower communities of color and under-resourced groups. After spearheading Coalition of Black Excellence Week in 2018 she founded Coalition of Black Excellence as an official 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization designed to unify and elevate the Black community in June 2018. Mrs. Johnson received her J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, her M.P.P from the University of Virginia Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy, and her B.A. from the University of Virginia.

Why CBE?

I truly believe that there is no limit to what can be achieved when Black professionals with varied experiences and expertise come together with one purpose of uplifting the community! CBE is a testament to just that. I’m honored to have the opportunity to volunteer alongside so many amazing Black professionals. My hope is that by bringing Black professionals and community organizers together to network, strategize, and highlight excellence in the Black community, we will not only inspire the next generation of Black leaders, but will help create an ecosystem of support within the Black community. My dream is for CBE to be the conduit for Black professionals to create an organic network of individuals who consistently work together to improve our diversity and inclusion practices in our communities, companies, and schools.
