The Greene Scholars Program (GSP) fosters a community of college bound scholars focused on developing their academic skills in science and math. As a long-term initiative, the GSP’s primary goal is to increase the success rate of youth of African ancestry in STEM course work and to increase the number of students choosing STEM paths. The program strengthens scholars’ leadership, problem solving, and self-esteem, and stimulates intellectual curiosity. Founded in 2001, Greene Scholars currently serves 160 youth, almost 50% of whom are girls.
