What is happening with all of my data?

Predictive analytics is becoming more prevalent for companies attempting to increase their competitive advantage by analyzing past behavior in order to predict future actions. But what can happen if implicit racial bias is not accounted for and the data is inappropriately used?  This panel will explore how predictive analytics is reshaping data usage across sectors and becoming central in corporate decision making and business development. Experts will discuss how predictive analytics impact the Black community; ways to proactively ensure that big data tools positively impact communities of color; the importance of inclusivity of algorithmic decision making; and provide insight into ways in which implicit racial biases can be accounted for to protect communities of color.
