The Quiet Storm with Armand

Armand Carr is affectionately known as “The Voice”. His baritone and rich, silky tone reverberate through our speakers nightly as the voice behind the Quiet Storm and Listen Up Bay Area on KBLX 102.9FM. Armand is also the founder of All Tied Up, a nonprofit that prepares young men between the ages of 13-21 for success through workshops structured around the significance of a tie. Since its inception in 2016, Armand has visited more than 100 schools and programs throughout the Bay Area, and donated more than 3,000 ties. Due to his community outreach efforts, Armand was a 2017 Jefferson Award recipient, named 2017 Black Enterprise 100 Men of Distinction, received the 2017 Certificate of Special Recognition by Congresswoman Barbara Lee for his work in combatting human trafficking, the 2018 Chabot College “Striving Black Brothers Coalition Man of The Year”, and the 2019 Steph Curry/Under Armour Community All-Star Award.
